Every time I work on one a 1M it's a joy. These things are like angry little tassie devils. They're such a hoot.This one was the result of a lot of searching by its current owner. He was very careful with his purchase, ensuring it was as good an example as his budget could allow. It had a couple of areas that were refinished and required some clean up, but the bare bones were solid and, like the condition of my Z4M when I bought it, it was a good base to build off.

This stunning car was a recent purchase by an existing client of mine. Only 100 of these were made and, as the name implies, they were built to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th Anniversary. The colour is a special pearlescent yellow made only for this model called Giallo Maggio. It's fleck is absolutely off the charts.This beast was brought by for a multi-stage correction in preparation for PPF. At which point it will come back and be coated with Kamikaze Film Surface Coat (which is designed specifically for PPF)

DESCRIPTION
Well this one needs very little introduction, but here goesThis Mad Max Interceptor replica is one of the most faithful reproductions around. Its current owner has had it for about ten years now and it had had a full respray before he had bought it. The two tone matte vinyl and single stage solid gloss black had suffered a bit over the years and it was my pleasure to bring it back to its former glory and then add a layer of Kamikaze Infinity WaxBefores and afters. A two stage correction was performed over most of the car. Some areas like the tops of the front guards and the boot lid requiring three stages to get right. The single stage paint actually responded quite nicely and, due to its soft and workable nature, I was able to get quite a decent level of correction out of it. The matte vinyl got a very light machine just to knock off the age and oxidation a little and create some nice uniformity prior to the Infinity Wax coating

As many of you know the Z4M Coupe is close to my heart. Even without owning one it's fair to say these are on their way to becoming a modern classic. They have all the hallmarks. NA straight six up front under that long bonnet. Manual only. Rear wheel drive. A fantastic recipe for fun. As someone who enjoys peddling his around Tassie twice a year I will certainly never be getting rid of mine!This particular Coupe recently underwent a complete external respray to freshen it up. The work, completed by the Bodyshop out at Bundoora BMW, is as good as anything I've seen outside of full show finished cars. It far exceeds the factory finish these cars originally came out with, and was an absolute pleasure to work on. I had a lot of fun with this one . Hats off to the Bundoora guys for providing such a great paint finish to work with.

DESCRIPTION
Carrying on with the JDM theme, here is another rescued icon. The owner of this 6.5 TME has been slowly restoring it back to its factory glory. The rather thin single stage paint didn't leave a huge amount of wiggle room in terms of correction but the owner understood and appreciated that whilst much of the gloss and clarity could be restored to the paint, there would also be an honest patina that would remain, showing the nearly 20 year history of this car being on the road. Overall I feel a great balance was achieved, making the car look great, whilst not turning it into a show car and still letting the owner feel comfortable enough to drive it as a daily.

This FD RX7 was bought a few months ago by a long time client who's become a very good friend. He was on the hunt for quite a while for the right one and he snapped this one up because of its relatively few mods and near original spec.As you'd expect the paint was rough, needing some decent decontamination to get smooth again, and there was also a decent level of swirls, water spots, and hazing to contend with. As well as some texture to minimise here and there on some re-finished areas

This 2010 SLK 300 was purchased last November with less than 10,000kms on the clock. Unfortunately in its time with the first owner though it had been exposed to many carwash cafe washes and also a number of broom washes. When the first owner sold it, the dealership then made things worse by leaving a mess of buffer trails and polish residue across the car. The kicker is that they didn't actually achieve any correction! All they did was to install buffer trails on top of all the swirls and scratches.The new owner said that he wasn't expecting miracles and asked that I do the best I can.Needless to say, this was going to be a challenge. At least there were good paint levels on the car, with it averaging 180 microns+

DESCRIPTION
Being such a low-mileage car (less than 1700kms at the time of detailing), the hardest issue was dealing with the hairline scratches and swirls over the car from years of microfibre wipedowns. This doesn't sound too bad but combine it with the sticky porous nature of the solid black paint meant it was more of a challenge than you'd think. All up approx 18hrs of correction went into the car to achieve the result here. The car was then coated with Kamikaze Infinity Wax

This 997 GT3 is driven "as intended". With regular track days undertaken it's definitely no garage queen. These things are monsters. It was an absolute joy to work on. One of the very few cars I'd even consider selling the Z4M for 
This particular car has had paint protection film installed over much of it. The challenge here was to try to eliminate as much of the PPF haze as possible and help it blend into the rest of the car more seamlessly.The painted areas also had some light haze and hairline scratching which was removed to provide gains in clarity and gloss. This very special car belongs to a colleague of mine who runs a high end car audio shop (Phatt Audio Concepts). It's his baby that he has owned for a number of years and has had a number of guises. This is the latest iteration which was completed around 4 months ago.The widebody kit is Rocket Bunny and it has been painted in a custom Dulux colour derived just for this car. The pearl metallic flake can no longer be bought so it cannot be replicated on an other car. The last remaining of its type being firmly in the grip of this car's owner.Being the demo car for Phatt Audio, it has enough sound gear in it to host a rock concert. Not a small one either.The wheels are custom Meister dishes, and are the same width and spec as a Lamborghini Diablo.The engine is highly strung and idles like it's extremely unhappy with standing still.It is the very definition of special and unique.

These R32s are becoming quite rare. This particular one came in for a multi stage correction and Opti-Coat Pro+.It, along with a mk7 GTI 40th Anniversary I also recently detailed, took out the Best Mk5 Golf and Best Mk7 Golf awards respectively at this year's Day of the VW event last weekend.To take out one award is something, but to take out two in such hotly contested categories is a real honour.

I've worked on a few nice cars and this one is up there with the best. The F12 TDF is a limited edition version of the already bonkers F12. TDF meaning Tour De France (the road race of the 50s and 60s as opposed to today's bike race) is what Ferrari call the "ultimate expression of the concept of an extreme road car that is equally at home on the track"Only 799 have been built and because it is a special edition you have to have an existing relationship with Ferrari to even qualify to buy one. That, along with the million-odd dollar price tag makes it serious business in anyone's language.With masses of additional carbon fibre and aero enhancements over the standard F12 it is both purposeful and, in its own right, a work of art.I could go on and on about this car but it's probably better to check out the Ferrari website link which has all this info you'd wanthttp://auto.ferrari.com/en_US/sports...-range/f12tdf/Be prepared to spend some time going through it. It's definitely worth it.This particular car is one of two currently in Melbourne. It is often driven and not just hidden behind closed doors.The owner was very much aware of the condition of the car when it was delivered and whilst it was better delivered than his other Ferraris, it still was not up to par in his opinion for the type of car it is. The owner is extremely fastidious in the way he maintains his cars and he knew that it could definitely look better.
